Biology is a science that deals with the study of living objects.The term biology was first coined by france naturalist jean Baptiste Lamarck in 1801.Knowledge about life or livings organism is called Biology

Biology is one of the earlist branches of natural science.But it should not be considered as a complete separate subject. All the branches science are interrelated.

At present, our Knowledge about living beings has reached moleculer level .It has established that livings systems are made up of some kinds of atoms, molecules and biomolecules.

Biology is the study of living things. It encompasses the cellular basis of living things, the energy metabolism that unerlines the activities of life, and the genetic bases for inheritance of organisms. Biology also includes the study of evolutionary relationships among organism and the diversity of life on earth. It considered the biology of microorganisms, plants and animals, and it brings together the structural and functional relationships that underlie their day-to-day activities. Biology draws on the science of chemistry and physics for its foundations and applies the laws of these disciplines of living things. This introductory course defines biology and its relationships to other science.
